Meeting.
OFFICER’S REPORTS
DCM – The group reviewed the District 20 meeting list, and noted those meetings that are not currently
sending GSRs to this monthly meeting. Members volunteered to attend/reach out to those group and
encourage participation.
There was discussion around why a group should send a GSR, what are the benefits? Points made:
Your group will have representation
It is felt that individuals with service commitments have a better chance of staying sober
Can take the message about what’s happening in the District back to your group
Your group is connected to the rest of AA through bidirectional communication
Best method may be to tap someone and say “you’d make a good GSR” increases chances they will
step up for the commitment
Suggestions for increasing awareness and GSR participation:
Create a GSR recruitment podcast
Host a dinner like the one done in Branford
Suggestions to increase interaction with GSRs/groups:
End of each meeting, ask attendees “what’s one thing that you will take back to your group from
tonight’s meeting?”
Assemble Executive Summary/bullet point list of meeting highlights to email to all GSRs so that they
have talking points for reference to take back to their groups
TREASURER’S REPORT:
Month of July 2025:
Income $351
Disbursements $781.14 literature purchase
Bank statement balance end of month: $6,152.74
Additional financial discussion items:
Question regarding P.O. Box – annual rent bill of $575 due to UPS Store. Can we rent a box cheaper
from the Post Office, if one is available? Herb will inquire.
For GSRs – please write group name on any checks that are mailed
Question: status of Venmo/Paypal? Why do we need either at the District level? To be researched
further.
A bill was received from CT DRS, we need to take steps to dissolve the D20 AA corporation. Herb
indicates this can be done online, to be researched further.
RECORDING SECRETARY – the minutes from the 5.15.25 meeting were reviewed and approved with no
corrections.

printing for 1,000 booklets and report back to the group.
