General Service Conference (GSC) – Some Proposed Agenda Items

· Consider a request to create a Twelve Step Study guide or workbook

· Consider a request to discuss the location of the General Service Conference (GSC)

· Consider that AA Grapevine, Inc., accept contributions

· Review draft of the Fifth Edition of the book Alcoholics Anonymous. (Are there any stories that must stay? Are there any features of a sober story submitter’s background that you feel should be represented or included in this collection of stories? )

· Review progress report on the development of a Plain Language Big Book amendment process.

· Review progress report of subcommittee exploring the needs of Spanish-speaking members for tools to access the Big Book

· Discuss creating a “Conference Committee on Digital Communications”

The General Service Conference can also take suggested agenda items from the floor, if they vote to discuss any issue which is brought up by a Delegate.

Our Delegate Mike R. is looking for your input on these proposed Agenda Items or any issue you wish for him to bring to the General Service Conference at the:

Pre-Conference Assembly on April 11, 9 AM-3 PM at the Pitkin Center on Greenfield St. in Wethersfield, CT

As an AA Member you have a voice at the Assembly; GSRs, District and Area Officers, Service Committee Chairs and Area Event Chairs have a voice and a vote at the Assembly

The AA Group is the highest authority in AA (in addition to a Higher Power, as He may express Himself in our group conscious) you may discuss these agenda items at your group, vote on them if you wish, and have your GSR bring your consensus to the Pre-Conference Assembly, or come up with your own issue to tell the Delegate, about a change or request you have to improve how AA fulfils its primary purpose to carry the message to the alcoholic that is still suffering .

The background information for the General Service Conference, with information about the proposed agenda items, is posted on the Area 11 website CT-AA.org
